DESCRIPTION:6.30 - 8.00 pm  // Abstract: In this paper, we examine the effect of progressive taxation on precautionary savings. While there is an extensive literature on precautionary savings in the presence of labor income uncertainty, this paper adds to the small number of studies that explores the link between progressive taxation and precautionary savings.
