The article “Public Communication and Collusion: New Screening Tools for Competition Authorities” by Tomaso Duso, Carl Kreuzberg, Joseph Harrington und Geza Sapi has won the Concurrences Antitrust Writing Award 2026 in the category “Academic Articles – Coordinated Practices.” The “Best Academic Articles Awards” recognize excellence in the fields of antitrust law and economics.
In the award-winning article, the authors present an early warning system designed to help identify competition-restricting collusion among firms. To this end, they analyzed public statements and identified linguistic patterns that revealed signs of coordination. Here is the link to the paper.
