The SOEP welcomes trainees Florian Griese and Janine Napieraj, who began their training in Market and Social Research on November 1, 2011. The three-year traineeship will take place largely in the SOEP at DIW Berlin as well as at a vocational school in Berlin. Experts in Market and Social Research take on organizational tasks in planning internal and external data collection processes. They conduct data research, prepare the data for processing, test data for plausibility and carry out evaluations and quality controls. In Germany, the official job profile for "Experts in Market and Social Research" was only created in 2006. Director of the SOEP research infrastructure Jürgen Schupp sees outstanding career prospects for both trainees, particularly in the area of research infrastructure.
